Grief

Good things come to an end.

This is sad, but the sharing of the grief is part of the goodness somehow. There is something wonderful and special in that—so we don’t have to be afraid of the grief.

The end is coming one way or another and that’s not so good. But the grief is our good response *to* the end. Grief is not the enemy; it is our good response *to* the enemy. And we are blessed when we can share it together.

A trauma mega-expert on self-care during Social Distancing

Bessel Van Der Kolk is a big time celebrity among people in the mental health field. He wrote the book “The Body Keeps the Score”, a hugely influential book in the realm of trauma care.

Here he is sharing some wonderful thoughts about how to care for yourself well during Social Distancing.

From the man himself!

Well look at that! I just shared this poem in my previous post, and today, by coincidence, the actual author of the poem shared the same poem in his own video. He’s one of my heroes, so I feel super cool right now. (It can’t be embedded here, so you’ll have to click over to Facebook to see it. In my opinion it’s worth it to hear the poem in his own voice!
